Learn Underground Hypnosis : Anchoring

Underground Hypnosis

One of the most powerful underground hypnosis techniques is using anchors. An anchor is something that triggers an emotional response. It’s different from classical conditioning in that it’s much, much more powerful.

Pretend that every time one of your friends laughed, you gently touched his left shoulder. After a couple of times, he or she will associate this state of happiness and pleasure with being touched in the left shoulder. A few days later, even if your friend is totally sad, you trigger that emotion of contentment by touching his or her shoulder!

Factors that affect anchoring
1. The power of the anchor depends on the intensity of the state. The more emotion you feel, the stronger the anchor will be.

2. Your expectations play a huge role in anchoring. You must expect it to work fully.

3. The stimulus should be the most intense early in the state and be removed before the state peaks.

4. Repetition definitely helps, but isn’t as important as the previous factors.

Combining anchors
It is possible to combine anchors together, or stack them. For example, you can anchor the emotions of being resourceful, powerful, alert, relaxed and witty all at the same time. Anchor each with a sliding anchor on the back of a finger on your left hand and trigger all of them at the same time!

Collapsing anchors
Sometimes, two anchors will oppose each other. You can’t be energetic and tired at the same time. To minimize an anchor, see a picture of the emotion and make that picture darker and push it away. If there’s a sound, make it quieter.
You can also do the opposite and amplify an anchor by making the picture brighter, livelier and the sounds louder.

Anchoring other people
There is only so much fun you can have on your own. When you fully master underground hypnosis, it becomes effortless to set anchors within other people and trigger emotional responses within the other person.

I’m a trained shrink and iphone hypnosis app hypnotherapist myself and I think these folks have done a solid job. I especially appreciated the ability to control the gain on the voice and the music separately. The background music seemed to set just the right mood and the hypnotic induction and instructions were very professional. My only advice would be that as time goes by, they add additional hypnotic scripts for a variety of life issues.
